Sighborggg // "synth-laden transpacific math rock" - IMPOSE magazine South Korea-based, US-born Sighborg (often spelled with varying letters- e.g. sssighborgg siiighborg) is a two-man outfit that features Indie electronica pieced together with live drums, guitar and keyboard.The total mix is heavy with math rock and chiptunes, a differing approach than their brothers-in-sound Battles. The band toured China 3 times, and was described by Smart Shanghai as, "smart shanghai Nintendo-ey, a bit math-ey, a bit Aphex Twin-ey and quite neat-o-ey". Since their China tour last year the band has opened for Caribou, YACHT, Zach Hill, No Age, Alpine Decline, and Xiu Xiu. Sighborggggg has played concerts and festivals throughout most of South Korea.
