Biography

Following on from their 2014 EP ‘is it right?’, Our Man in Berlin’s ‘Molière’ emerges as the first single from forthcoming sophomore EP ‘Spirit Down’. Our Man in Berlin’s previous release saw them tour the country, twice, with the four singles receiving both national and international acclaim. At home the band have received recognition & airplay from Triple J, Triple J Unearthed, 4ZZZ, FBI, RRR, RTR, and many other community radio stations. Abroad, airplay has come from College stations in the UK, USA, Greece and on German radio station FluxFM. A considerable online following has amassed through substantial Soundcloud plays in excess of 100,000 and via hugely positive blog reviews that have come in thick & fast from the likes of: IndieShuffle, Hilly Dilly, Stereofox, BitCandy, Hype Machine, Pilerats, PressPlayUK, TheMusicNinja and more. Molière was the stage name of a 17th century French playwright who, in particular, wrote tragic comedies about manipulation. This track possesses a similar subject matter, planting the narrative not in comedy, but atop heavy bass lines, rhythmic guitars and urgent beats.
