Biography
neoDominatrix is an experimental music project led by Andy Chong [nD]. Having acquired diverse musical experiences over a period of eight years, from studying Jazz at the LASALLE College of the Arts to creating live sonic atmospheres for theatre shows and producing short films, nD decided to bring together a group of musicians with similar visions to share their collective musical experience. Every song neoDominatrix writes has a question in mind, mostly controversial. The theme, approach, where the dynamics, orchestration, and length are determined by the band's judgement of time, space, mood, and audience reaction. Featuring Anson on drums, NAz on keys, Intrigue on electronics, Tim on bass, and Andy himself on guitar, the boys of neoDominatrix love pushing boundaries of musical conventions and challenging each other when they write music together, both in terms of technical ability and, more importantly, idea generation. As such, it has become sort of a trademark to not be able to put a finger on genre or style when the music reaches the audience.
