Biography

Ridzuan (vocals), Hairin (guitar/vocals), Ashri (bass) & Helmi (drums) came together through a few experimental performances back in 2008 with no specific agenda or destination in sight but a common love and interest to strive and make good, honest music together. Discovering a camaraderie through parallel thoughts and sentiments regarding the music created, Moira, which actually means “The personification of fate”, was formed a year later in Singapore around a round table over coffee and cigarettes after a regular jamming session. Undertaking an experimental approach to the yet great unknown, they are constantly refining their craft while striving for an honest sound that reflects their eclectic blend of music and personalities. Without truly a clear destination in sight except for the growth of personal sound, Moira is constantly working, allowing their creative process in music-making to take charge and bring them further. Currently with just a few performances under their belt, Moira is in the process of further development in their sound and experiences as a unit and is biding their time perfecting their craft while awaiting the dawn of the day where they are able to share their music with the world. And that daybreak, is near.
