Biography

MJ Kwok a.k.a MMXJ was born in Singapore, raised in Hong Kong and the UK, and then subsequently spent his later years in the US studying at Stanford University. A self-taught musician, he picked up the guitar at 8-years-old and the piano at twelve, with early influences being Jason Mraz and John Mayer. His drive led him to becoming a finalist in the 3rd season of Singapore Idol. He began taking his love for music even further by exploring his sounds in Electronic Dance Music after watching Alesso & Swedish House Mafia perform at the renowned Coachella Arts and Music Festival in California. MMXJ is currently working on a series of upcoming releases crossing the genres of Progressive House to Dubstep.
