Biography
Miss Lou is a singer who blends old-school vocal stylings with modern sensibilities. Described as a reborn jazz soul, her songs are snapshots of 21st Century life told in the language of doo-wop, swing, and soul.
Born and bred in the Cosmopolitan multi-cultural melting pot that is Singapore, her versatile musicality is informed by a lifetime's worth of artistic pursuits in many diverse areas. She was cast as a lead in a school musical at 16, played the double bass in her school's symphonic band, was president of the jazz band as a vocalist in Junior College, and drummed on the Indian dhol in Samba Masala, a Brazilian percussion band (also known as a batucada) as an undergraduate.

She also held her first headlining show at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre in April of 2016, which seats up to 450 people.
Her evident fascination with breathing new life into vintage is not limited to music. Inspired by old Hollywood glamour and Asian vintage fashion, she co-founded online vintage boutique, Baju Mama Vintage, giving vintage items a contemporary touch.
Selected to be part of the National Arts Council’s Noise Music Mentorship 2016, she is currently under the mentorship of Sara Wee, lead vocalist and guitarist of popular Singaporean band 53A. Miss Lou is in the midst of recording her debut EP, and has her sights set on making the world a better place… one song at a time.
