Biography
Gracenote is a Filipino electro-pop-rock band led by Eunice Jorge who is the band's main
vocalist, songwriter, pianist and violinist. Other band members are Jazz Jorge (Bassist), EJ Pichay
(Drums) and Tatsi Jamnague (Guitars).
Members of Gracenote met at St. Scholastica’s College Manila. As with many bands, the group started
with small gigs. They entered a number of band competitions, and were Nescafe Soundskool Finalists
2008, and Grand Champion of the DZUP: College Collision 2009.
In 2009, the band's bass player left and was replaced by Jazz Jorge.
Tatsi Jamnague joined the band as their guitarist in 2016.
THEIR MUSIC ...
Under the management of Soupstar Entertainment, the band has already released 2 albums. Their 8-
track album “First Movement” is under Soupstar Music and was distributed by Universal records.
Produced by 6cyclemind’s Rye Sarmiento, the album’s carrier single was “Minsan Lang Naman”. The
video for their first single, “Minsan Lang Naman”, highlights Gracenote’s heartfelt lyrics and melody.
Gracenote’s first movement proves to be a success as “Minsan Lang Naman” has entered several music
channels and radio programs’ hit charts.
In between the “First Movement” and their current album “Transparent”, Gracenote released three songs
namely “I WILL WAIT”, “Two Four” and “Taciturn” as singles. All of which enjoyed good rotation in local
music radio stations and channels, even entering the countdowns and hit charts.
Last February 2016, the much anticipated time for those who waited for 4 long years for Gracenote’s
release of their 2nd album finally happened. Their 2nd album entitled “Transparent” under Warner Music
featured a very different yet interestingly new sound which they categorized as synco-pop-punk-electro-
rock. This sound can be heard through their follow-up single “Pause” and also through previous singles “I
WILL WAIT”, “Two Four” and “Taciturn” which were also included in the album to the delight of their
fans.
The Transparent album also gave the band a chance to work with some of their friends that have
inspired them in the music industry through their songs “Bilog” (featuring Ms. Yeng Constantino), “Flynn
Rider” (with 6cyclemind’s Tutti Caringal) and “Gusto Ko” (with Alexa Ilacad).
AT PRESENT ...
The past year marked special collaborations of the band with top artists in the industry. First, they were
part of the prestigious lineup of Coke Studio PH and worked with rapper and flip-top artist Abra to
produce “Stargazer” which was well-received by both the alternative and rap music fans with their Coke
Studio episode reaching 2.5M views.
Moreover, the band also collaborated with Chito Miranda, vocalist of the legendary Parokya ni Edgar,
through the song “Bakit Ganyan Ka?”. Since its debut, the song had views of more than 800,000 in less
than 24 hours and now reaching over 4 Million views! Moreover, the song was the most talked about
collaboration online which got 28,000 shares on Facebook. Also, it has gone viral on Spotify’s Philippines
Viral 50, at the no. 3 spot. Even though the song just debuted in the playlist of leading radio stations, it
has already been included in the top charts. “When in Manila” blog site even calls it the newest Original
Philippine Music love anthem!
This year, the band was excited to work with their contemporaries, Autotelic and December Avenue, for a
campaign of 7-Eleven entitled “Summer Song”. This collaboration successfully brought together the flavor
of the three bands to deliver a young and festive theme all year round. And festive it was indeed - Eton
Centris Walk Open Grounds logged the live concert of the 3 bands to launch the song as a record
breaking feat in terms of attendance.
Continuing with their momentous feats, Gracenote reached the #1 spot of Catch 22 Pilipinas charts for
their rendition of Stevie B.’s song “When I Dream About You”. Their rendition was well received by their
fans and even Stevie B. himself commended on the band’s version and communicated with the band to
express his appreciation. Catch 22 Pilipinas is the integrated hit charts of three of the top radio stations in
the country namely 90.7 Love Radio, 96.3 Easy Rock and 101.1 Yes FM.
With their energetic performances, Gracenote continues to captivate their audiences through live and
online performances. Pouring their hearts out on every composition, song, and performance, Gracenote
has surely made their mark among fans and music critics alike. Truly, Gracenote is one of the most active
bands and exciting live acts of this generation!
