Biography
FXTRT is a progressive indie rock band from Singapore. Formed in 2014, the current line up includes Ming (guitar), Kadir (guitar, vocals), James (drums), Jack (bass, vocals), Amelia (keys, vocals) and Azhar (vocals). Drawing influences from a wide range of sources, spanning multiple genres and even languages, FXTRT present a mix of both upbeat music to groove to, and more relaxed tunes to invoke introspection in our audience. While most popular music focuses on emotions, in particular, the happy/sad feelings, though they do possess such songs, lyrically, they have always tried to be relevant to the interpersonal world around us, and often, humour lends itself to discussing serious themes such as sexuality, exploitation of the third world, and the human mindset. Presently, FXTRT is in the final laps of its FYP cycle, where we are recording a six track EP of originals, and have a few shows lined up in late january to show the world what we have to offer
