Biography

Tang has a career that has seen him go from playing in small pubs in his hometown to smashing it at international super clubs and festivals. Using an extensive catalogue of personal re-edits and remixes, he rocks the floor for heaving crowds week in week out. Tang blends turntable trickery and ultra smooth mixing with an instinctive sense of what clubbers want music-wise… creating a distinctive sound and party vibe which never fails to impress. DJ Tang was a prominent figure in the UK hip hop scene since 1999 when he first entered the DMC Championships there. Reaching the prestigious UK finals no less than 3 times, Tang proved himself to be amongst the top ten in the country during the peak of the competitions popularity. Tang competed against many world champions such as Tony Vegas, Prime Cuts, Plus One (aka ‘The Scratch Perverts’), DJ Woody and Tigerstyles to name a only few. His performances can be seen on the popular DMC videos which are still sold worldwide.
