Japanese rock sensation ‘I Don’t Like Mondays’ unveils new single ‘New York, New York’, announces 2024 Asia tour

Japanese rock band I Don’t Like Mondays is back with its latest single, ‘New York, New York’, to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Infused with the signature UK sound that defines the band, ‘New York, New York’ delves into themes of yearning, heartbreak and melancholia.

Having studied in the city during high school days, New York is a place that vocalist YU considers to be special. The cover art of the song is inspired by the singer’s regular visits to the city.

The band’s inaugural tour in China earlier this year sold out the day it went on sale, following a series of concerts and performances at festivals across Europe, South America, and Asia in 2023.

What’s more, the ‘PAINT’ act is set to hold its "FOCUS" ASIA TOUR this fall, with shows in Japan and across Asia.
