Spotify in Singapore: streaming platform reveals the country's most streamed music of 2017

Spotify has unveiled its year-end data for the most streamed music in Singapore and — as if his two sold-out shows weren't enough indication — Ed Sheeran has topped the list of Most Streamed Artists.

The singer-songwriter holds the title for the most streamed album and track with his latest album, Divide and smash hit 'Shape Of You'. Compared to the global list of streamed artists, the only mutual artists remain Sheeran and EDM duo The Chainsmokers.

Meanwhile, Jay Chou and JJ Lin continue to prove that Mandopop has a large following in Singapore — the two artists placed second and third respectively in the 'Most Streamed Male Artists in Singapore' list. One other notable result is BTS placing fifth in the overall 'Most Streamed Artists in Singapore' list — a meteoric rise for the K-pop group.
